Current Version - Version 2.5.3 - 05.13.2014

The following changes have been made for version 2.5.2:

New Features:

  • Qwickly+: Allows files to be chosen from Box (Cloud Storage) when using Post Content tool.
  • Qwickly+: Allows files to be chosen from Box (Cloud Storage) when attaching a file to an email using the Send Email tool.

Fixes:

  • Resolves an issue in which individual tools deployed as Blackboard tools had display issues.
  • Resolves an issue in which text editors would not load into tools when the Qwickly Toolset was deployed as a Blackboard tool.

 

Version 2.5 - 04.10.2014

The following changes have been made for version 2.5:

New Features:

  • Qwickly+: Adds Upload Cloud Content course tool, allowing faculty to add files from courses like normal Blackboard items.
  • Visual Text Editor has been added to Post Announcement Tool and Post Content tool allowing announcements and content items to have descriptions with rich text.
  • User Interface has been optimized so smaller screens can use cancel and submit buttons on action overlays
  • References to Microsoft SkyDrive have been replaced with OneDrive to align with Microsoft branding.

 

Version 2.4.8 - 04.09.2014

The following changes have been made for version 2.4.8:

Fixes:

  • Qwickly+: Files with spaces that are added from cloud services now work, spaces are converted to underscores.
  • Resolves an issue where individual user settings would not save in certain situations.

 

Version 2.4.7 - 04.07.2014

The following changes have been made for version 2.4.7:

Fixes:

  • Qwickly+: Allows content to be added to courses in systems that do not have the Blackboard Content System.
  • Qwickly+: Allows users who are leaders in organizations but not instructors in any course to see Qwickly tools that apply for organization leaders.

 

Version 2.4.5 - 03.22.2014

The following changes have been made for version 2.4.5:

Fixes:

  • Resolves an issue that caused the Select All and Clear All options in a course selection list to freeze the rest of the selections and prevent the tool from working, resulting in a message that at least one course needs to be selected.

 

Version 2.4.4 - 03.19.2014

The following changes have been made for version 2.4.4:

Fixes:

  • Resolves an issue that could prevent Qwickly from sending emails or posting announcements to courses that had been "unselected" and then reselected in the course selection list.

 

Version 2.4.3 - 03.11.2014

The following changes have been made for version 2.4.3:

  • Qwickly+: Resolves an issue in which files added to multiple courses could display as 404 errors (Not found) for all but the first course to which the file was added.

  • Qwickly+: Resolves an issue that could cause files added to courses using the Post Content Tool to not be viewable by students.

 

Version 2.4.1 - 02.06.2014

The following changes have been made for version 2.4.1:

Fixes:

  • Resolves an issue where the Post Content Tool would not launch in Qwickly+ if an instructor had any content area that contained an apostrophe.
  • Fixes an issue where the needs grading tool would sometimes omit ungraded items.

 

Version 2.4 - 01.29.2014

The following changes have been made for version 2.4:

New Features:

  • Qwickly+: Allows files to be chosen from SkyDrive when using Post Content tool.
  • Qwickly+: Allows files to be chosen from SkyDrive when attaching a file to an email using the Send Email tool.
  • Qwickly+: Users can now add descriptions to links when they are using the Post Content tool.
  • New option for System Admins to filter courses that show in Qwickly by Available Term instead off Course ID Filter. This option will show only courses that are in available terms in Qwickly’s toolset.

Fixes:

  • Qwickly Course Availability tool will no longer show courses that are controlled by term availability.
  • Fixes the Needs Grading indicator showing 'incorrect' number of items needing graded. Grades that are over-riden are now being counted as "graded".
  • Faculty who are unavailable in a course are no longer able to see those courses in Qwickly tools.
  • Resolves an issue where certain "special characters" would make posted announcements show up with blank announcement bodies.
  • Announcement that are entered as multi-line announcements will now show up correctly.

 

Version 2.3 - 01.08.2014

The following changes have been made for version 2.3:

New Features:

  • Qwickly+: Allows files to be chosen from GoogleDrive when using Post Content tool.
  • Qwickly+: Allows files to be chosen from GoogleDrive when attaching a file to an email using the Send Email tool.
  • Changes Qwickly feedback button on the module to link to the Qwickly Submit Help Ticket form. This change was made so users, especially students, did not think they were emailing their instructors using the Feedback form.

Fixes:

  • Makes saving admin settings more reliable.
  • Resolves an issue in which saving settings did not work when upgrading to version 2.2

 

Version 2.2 - 11.21.2013

The following changes have been made for version 2.2:

New Feautres:

  • Qwickly+: Allows files to be chosen from Dropbox when using Post Content tool.
  • Qwickly+: Allows files to be chosen from Dropbox when attaching a file to an email using the Send Email tool.

Fixes:

  • Improves email address handling, prevents an error that occurs when a student does not have an email address.

 

Version 2.1.1 - 11.13.2013

  • Resolves an issue in which Qwickly Mobile would not appear consitently.

 

Version 2.1 - 10.02.2013

The following changes have been made for version 2.1:

New Feautres:

  • Allows an instructor to attach a file to an email using the Send Email tool.
  • Supports upgrade to Qwickly+
  • License method changes, institutions no longer have to download multiple versions of the Building Block for different Blackboard installations. Institutions will use a single Qwickly ID for all installations of Qwickly. Institutions generate their Qwickly ID during the installation process.

 

Version 2.0.3 - 9.17.2013

The following changes have been made for version 2.0.3:

Fixes:

  • Resolved an issue in which the tool version of Qwickly did not load tools. (This did not effect the module version)

 

Version 2.0.2 - 9.12.2013

The following changes have been made for version 2.0.2:

Fixes:

  • The Send Email Tool no longer sends emails to users who have the status of unavailable in a course.
  • Student Send Email Tool no longer allows students to send email to instructors of courses that are unavailable.
  • Student Send Email Tool no longer allows students who have the status of unavailable in a course to email instructors of that course.
  • The Qwickly action overlay is now higher on the screen, allowing users of computers with lower resolutions to see the submit button at the bottom of the overlay.

 

Version 2.0 - 7.15.2013

The following changes have been made for version 2.0:

New Features:

  • Qwickly Mobile - a break-through mobile interface for Qwickly Users
  • Receipt Screens for send email and post announcement. Users now get confirmation that their action has been completed.

Enhancements and Fixes:

  • Addresses an issue in which courses with a period in their course id did not appear to toggle availability.
  • Fixed a bug that would prevent an email to be sent out when a user opted to send an accouncement as an e-mail.

 

Version 1.3 - 6.14.2013

The following changes have been made for version 1.3:

New Features:

  • Adds the Email Instructor tool: Allows a student to send an email to all instructors of multiple courses at once.

Enhancements and Fixes:

  • Addresses issues that prevented Qwickly Settings from showing up after upgrading from an older version of Qwickly.
  • Installation of Qwickly is more reliable.
  • Resolves an issue in which Internet Explorer would block "insecure" content.
  • Fixes an issue where all courses where avaialble but Make Course available tool would still show up because child courses of a merged course were still unavailable.

 

Version 1.2.3 - 6.7.2013

The following changes have been made for version 1.2.3:

Enhancements and Fixes:

  • Fixes major display issues that occur in Internet Explorer when Qwickly is being used as a Tool Panel tool for Post Announcements and Send Email
  • Provides more accurate error messages if no tools show up for a user.
  • Handles enabling and disabling user preferences correctly. (If a system admin disables user preferences, all tools that have been deployed will now show, instead of 'freezing' the preferences the user had chosen before the system admin disabled user preferences.

 

Version 1.2.2 - 6.5.2013

  • Fixes an issue where certain tools showed erroneously.
  • Improves reliability of posting announcements to courses.

The following changes have been made for version 1.2.1:

Enhancements and Fixes:

  • Fixes an issue when tools that were deployed as individual Tool Panel tools appeared to not work (even though they had succeed).
  • Resolves an issue where checkboxes for 'Course Availability' toggle did not show in System Admin Settings.

 

Version 1.2 - 5.28.2013

The following changes have been made for version 1.2:

New Features:

  • Qwickly can now be deployed as individual tools in the Blackboard Learn™ Tool Panel. Four Tools now exist: Qwickly (all tool features in one option), Qwickly Course Availability, Qwickly Post Announcement, and Qwickly Email. You can use any or all tools.
  • Course Availability tool: System admins can elect to deploy the Course Availability tool in place of Make Course Available. Course Availability allows instructors to toggle their courses from Unavailable to Available and back to Unavailable at anytime.


Enhancements and Fixes:

  • Qwickly now handles merged courses correctly. Only the 'master' course will show up in tools now instead of the master course plus all the child courses. Instructors will no longer be able to accidentally make child courses available.
  • Course IDs now show up in Make Course Available tool.
  • Enhanced Visuals for making courses available.
  • Settings and Feedback buttons for instructors are now less obnoxious.
  • The Qwickly Settings Panel has been greatly enhanced for ease of use and functionality.
  • Various Performance and UI/UX enhancements.

 

Version 1.12 - 5.16.2013

The following changes have been made for version 1.12:

  • Resolves an issue in which confirmation text would show up in the needs grading badge after certain tools were used.
  • Adds Cancel Button to Settings Page (Settings for System Admins)
  • Resolves an issue in which checkbox selections next to tool settings would not appear in System Admin Settings in certain versions of Internet Explorer.
  • Enhancements to Submit Feedback form.
  • Addresses some visual issues in Internet Explorer
  • Adds Cancel button for Users in the Feedback form and User Settings
  • Improved visibility of User Settings and Feedback buttons
  • Improved the reliability of installation of Qwickly.
  • Various Performance and UI/UX enhancements.

 

Version 1.1 - 5.2.2013

The following changes have been made for version 1.1:

  • Qwickly can now be deployed as a tool in the Blackboard Tool Panel for institutions that do not have the Community Engagement System.
  • Qwickly now accepts multiple Semester Codes so admins can target more than one set of courses at a time. Separate each semester code with a semi-colon with no spaces between codes.
  • Resolves an issue where an email confirmation would show up in the needs grading badge.

 

Version 1.05 - 4.26.2013

The following changes have been made for version 1.05:

  • Resolves an issue that occurred with certain tools not functioning when Qwickly was installed on a tab that was customizable to the user.
  • Resolved: Organizations would show up in course listings under certain circumstances.
  • Various Performance and UI/UX enhancements.

 

Version 1.03 - 4.17.2013

The following changes have been made for version 1.03:

  • Added User Preferences: Users can turn tools on and off from the module.
  • Admin Controls for User Preferences: Admins can enable or disable User Preferences.
  • Admin Feedback for Qwickly: Admins can submit feedback directly to Qwickly Developers through the Qwickly Settings Pane.
  • User Feedback for Qwickly: Users can submit feeback about Qwickly to an e-mail address set by system admin.
  • Admin Controls for User Feedback for Qwickly: Admins can enable or disable User Feedback and control which e-mail address feedback is sent to.
  • Installation Guide was added to Qwickly Settings Pane.
