Important Note before you begin: Please do not disable or delete the existing Qwickly API Developer Key in your Canvas admin. This key will still be required for the LTI 1.3 version of Jot.
The following guide will assist administrators in transitioning Qwickly Attendance from LTI 1.1 to LTI 1.3 for Canvas.
NOTE: For Canvas, both LTI 1.1 and 1.3 installations can be used concurrently on your systems.
Remove 1.1 Developer Key in Canvas
- Go to Admin > Your Instance Account > Developer Keys
- Delete the existing 1.1 Jot Developer key:
Add the 1.3 Developer Key in Canvas
- Go to Admin > Your Instance Account > Developer Keys > Add (+) Developer Key > LTI Key

Fill in the values:
- Key name: Qwickly Jot
- Redirect URIs: https://www.qwickly.tools/jot/launch/
- Method: Enter URL

JSON URL: https://www.qwickly.tools/jot/lti_setup/canvas/
- Note: the JSON will create default placements in Assignment Selection
3. Click Save
4. Ensure that the new key for Attendance is enabled:
5. Copy the Client/Developer ID to a text document, you will need it later.
Create the App Configuration
- Go to Admin > Settings > Apps > View App Configurations
- Click + App

Fill in the values:
- Configuration Type: By Client ID
- Client ID: The Client/Developer ID you copied in the previous step
Create the Deployment
- Once the app is installed, find it in the list, click the settings wheel > Deployment ID
2. Copy the Deployment ID to a text document, as you will need it in a later step.
3. Go to the Qwickly Dashboard www.qwickly.tools
4. Click the Instance Keys icon in your instance that you are adding LTI 1.3 to and fill in the LTI 1.3 Key ID with the Client/Developer ID (from Step 3 in Create the App Configuration) and Deployment ID (from Step 2 in Create the Deployment)
5. Click Submit
