In Blackboard Learn, users can import jot assignments from one section to another section if there has been a course copy or a master/child relationship.
Requirement: Courses must have an ID relationship, for example, the first sections of the course ID must match. See below.
To Copy/import a Qwickly Jot assignment:
1. Create the Qwickly Jot assignment in the master (or source) course
2. When you copy the course (or Qwickly Jot assignment) to another course, a Jot assignment link will also be created in the copied course, but you must import the assignment.
3. Launch the assignment in the copied course.
4. If an assignment is found in the source course, you will see an Import Parent Assignment button.
5. Select that button to import the assignment.
6. Select Import or click More Assignments to view other assignments available to you. After you click Submit, the image, settings, and attempts will be copied to the new course and a new Qwickly Jot assignment is now ready for student submissions.
Troubleshooting:
I don't see my initial assignment. If you created the assignment before the option to copy was enabled, you will not see the assignment as the new feature has to save items from the original assignment upon creation.
I see a prompt to enable grading. If you copied the course content but didn't enable evaluation, you'll have to set it at the new Jot assignment first. See below:
On the Blackboard Learn assignment page, click to Edit the assignment, and enable evaluation, enter a value, click Save.
