Use the "Push" notification banner or a "Long Press" to approve the request without fully switching away from the Qwickly app.
Why canβt I see my course or check-in session?
You must launch your course in your LMS browser (Canvas/Blackboard,D2L) at least once per semester to "wake up" the connection.
Why is my "School Name" not showing up in the search?
Search for the full formal name of your school. If it's missing, your institution may not have the Mobile App module enabled.
Why do I see a "Webpage not available" or "Xamarin" error?
Your app version is likely obsolete. Uninstall, clear your mobile browser cache, and reinstall the latest version.
Can I use a password manager to log in?
If autofill fails, try typing your credentials manually; some security protocols block "pasted" content.

Why does the app say Iβm "Out of Zone"?
Ensure "Precise Location" is ON in settings. Try toggling Wi-Fi off and on to refresh your GPS coordinates.
Does Qwickly track my location all the time?
No. Your location is only checked at the exact moment of check-in to verify you are in class.
What is "Location Context" (Remote vs. In-Person)?
"Remote" skips GPS checks, while "In-Person" verifies your location against the classroom boundary.
Does NFC check-in require GPS/Location Services?
Yes, if your instructor requires location verification for that specific classroom.

Does my phone support NFC?
Most modern smartphones (iPhone 7+, Android 2019+) support it. Look for "NFC" in your connection settings.
Where is the NFC antenna located?
iPhones: Top edge. Android: Center-back of the device.
Why is my phone not reacting to the NFC tag?
Your phone must be unlocked to read a tag. Ensure the app is open before you tap.
Why do I get a "Tag Not Recognized" error?
The tag may be deactivated or assigned to a different room; notify your instructor.
Does my phone case interfere with NFC?
Metal plates, magnets, or very thick "rugged" cases can block signals. Try removing the case.
Can I check in for a friend by taking a photo of the tag?
No. NFC requires physical proximity to the chip; photos do not contain the encrypted signal.
Why am I getting a "Duplicate Check-In" error?
You have already successfully checked in for this session. You only need to tap once.
My phone says "New Tag Collected" but doesn't open the app.
Open the Qwickly Student App first, then tap the tag to ensure the app catches the data.
Can I use a "dummy" NFC app to spoof check-in?
No. Qwickly uses encrypted payloads that only the official app can read.
What if the NFC tag is physically damaged?
If the tag is peeling or torn, it may be broken. Notify your instructor to mark you present manually.

Why is my camera not opening for the QR code?
Check Privacy Settings to ensure the Qwickly App has permission to access your Camera.
Why does it say "Code belongs to another course"?
This is a sync error. Log out and back in to refresh your course roster.
The QR code is "invalid" or "expired." What now?
Codes "roll" every few seconds. Wait for a new code to appear on the screen and try again.
Can I check in on a tablet or laptop instead?
QR check-ins require the mobile app. For laptops, you must use a PIN if the instructor provides one.
My QR check-in is crashing. What do I do?
Restart your device and ensure your app is on the latest version. Usually, this is a memory (RAM) issue.
π Section 5: Records & Roster
Can I see my total attendance percentage in the app?
Yes. Tap the Attendance tab and select a course to see your history.
I just added this class; why can't I check in yet?
Roster syncs take 24 hours. Ask your instructor to mark you manually until the sync completes.
My instructor marked me absent, but I was there!
Support staff cannot edit records. Contact your instructor directly to dispute an entry.
Why didn't I get an email confirmation?
This is an optional instructor setting. Check your app's Attendance tab for verification.
π Section 6: Technical Troubleshooting
The app keeps crashing when I hit "Check-In."
Ensure you have 500MB free space and close other background apps to free up RAM.
What if I have no cellular data/Wi-Fi in the classroom?
Connect to campus Wi-Fi before class. If it fails, notify the instructor immediately.
What if I don't have a smartphone?
You will need to use a browser check-in with a PIN or have the instructor mark you manually.
Does the app work with "Dark Mode"?
Yes, the app follows your system-wide theme settings for iOS and Android.
Can I check in if my battery is below 5%?
Some phones disable NFC sensors in "Ultra Power Saving" mode. Try disabling that temporarily.
