Note: This feature is only available with a license of Qwickly Attendance Plus and Qwickly Attendance Pro
Users of Qwickly Attendance have the option to record a check out session. This mode is designed to work the same way as Check In Mode. The Check Out session will be linked to a previous Check In Session and users will be marked present as long as they were present in both sessions.
How to turn this feature on?
To turn this feature on, admins can go to the Qwickly Dashboard > Manage Attendance > Settings > Modes > "Enable Check Out Mode"
How does it work?
1. Take a Check In Session
First off, attendance takers would open a regular Check In session. In this example, a check in session titled "Computer Lab 1" is opened.
2. Take a Check Out Session
Once this Check in Session has ended, and when the attendance taker is ready to record the Check Out session, they would navigate back to the Check In attendance taking screen. Here they will see a new option called "Type" with the options of "Check In" and "Check Out". If Check Out is selected, the attendance taker would then be prompted to select a session to check out of, with a list of previously existing check in sessions.
In this example, we will name the new session as "Computer Lab 1 check out", which is type "Check Out" and the session to check out of is the previously created "Computer Lab 1".
3. Data from both Check In and Check Out sessions are compared to create a final "Check In/Check Out" session
When this session has completed and the user closes it, Qwickly Attendance will then compare the Check in and Check Out sessions.
- If a student has a present status in both check in and check out sessions, they are counted as Present
- If a student does not have a present status in either the check in session or the check out session, they are counted as Absent
- The final combined session will have the date that the check out session was ended as the title. For example, if a check out session ended on November 30th, the check in/check out session will be titled "Nov 30"
- In the Records screen, if users open this session, they will see the Session Type "Check In/Check Out" in the details (example screenshot below)
- Each user record in the "Check In/Check Out" session will have a comment which will include what status and time they had for the check in and check out sessions individually (example screenshot below)
