Qwickly Course Tools Settings allows administrators to have very granular control over your instance.
Regardless of the LMS (Canvas, D2L, or Blackboard), you will see the same setting screen.
With any change, make sure to go to the bottom of the page and click SUBMIT.
- Log into www.qwickly.tools and click Manage Instances.
- Under the instance you want to manage, click Manage Course Tools.
- In the Tools tab, you can enable specific tools.
- In the Course Filtering tab, you can select displayable semester or course code filters. Only courses that satisfy the semester or course code filter will be shown to Course Tools users.
- Select Terms - Only courses associated with the selected semesters are to be shown. If no term is selected, all courses will be shown.
- Course Code - Only courses that have a course code that begins with the specified code filter are to be shown (i.e. "2024-Spring"). Multiple course code filters can be separated by a semicolon (";"). Please note that any whitespace will be included in the filter text. A course will be displayed if it satisfies at least one course code filter.
- In the Permissions Tab, you can specify what course roles are to be considered an instructor role or a student role. Instructor tools will be displayed to users who are enrolled in a course with an instructor role and student tools will be displayed to users who are enrolled in a course with a student role. Courses in each tool will be displayed only to users who are enrolled with the appropriate role. If no roles are selected, LMS default roles will be used.
- In the File Picker Tab, permissible file sources can be specified for file uploads and malware scanning can be enabled. The availability of these features may depend on your Course Tools license level.
- Preferences allow you to set preferences such as what displays to the user, timezone, and you can set a default theme or create a new custom theme.
